Backyard Babe

Today on Babe Monday, I finally got to let Korissa play in the backyard. It was nice enough out, and it was such a blast watching her discover things.......

Looks like she likes Oak trees too (she's so excited she's even sticking her tongue out).....
Here, she has seen the bird feeder, the birds didn't stick around though......

She had a lot of fun touching the dirt, then she would look at her fingers.....

Just kickin back looking at her new rock, sitting in her new chair that I got her for the kitchen table, she had to bring it outside.....

She's really into that rock....

"What's that?"
.....it's a dirt pile....

With her bucket of treasures she found......
Ending the discovery time with Grandpa showing her how to ring the bell.....

Twilight Night

Jess invited me over last night to watch Twilight. I of course had to show up a bit early so I could see the cute Babe. She was wearing one of her cute spring dresses. She was being nuts! She would run to me, then to Jess, then to Shannon. She didn't want to go to bed though, I think she thought I might help her get out of that, because she looked to me and cried, poor Babe.
After she was put to bed, Shannon started popcorn and Jess got her 5th glass of Pepsi, and we were ready to watch Twilight. Since Jess read the book, I pretty much new what to expect. I must say that the actor playing Edward looks much better in the movie then in any pictures I have seen of him. At first, Shannon and I weren't connecting to the characters much, since neither of us had read the book, I wondered if that was why. Towards the end though, we were loving them, and we were all wishing we had a vamp for a boyfriend....lol.
After the movie, we sat around and talked, and that was super fun. Shanny had to get to work this morning, and being close to 11, it was well past my bedtime...hee, hee. I left with the first Twilight book, came home, and crashed. It was a very fun night, and hope we can do it again soon.

Frazzled to Relaxed

Last night was very relaxing, well, after hubby went to bed. He was a grouch yesterday. He ran out of his allergy meds, and was not feeling well. John gets in a super bad mood when he's not feeling well. It wasn't fun being stuck with him when we had that stomach flu....aargh. So, last night while watching Charmed and eating our dinner, Walgreens FINALLY called to say his rx was ready. I was like "THANK GOD" and then I said, "you should go get it now". He was like "but my dinner will get cold". I'm like, "so what". Yes, I can baby someone when theyre sick to a certain point, but if you are a grouchy sick, I will have no sympathy, and will just hope that you go to bed and leave me in peace. The meds didn't kick in last night, so when he decided to go to bed early, I decided I needed some pampering myself for having to be miserable along with him, so I had some green tea, and masked my face while watching Biggest Loser. It was a nice way to end the evening.

Oh happy shoe day

I got my vegan shoes today. Ted (our UPS guy) pulled up, and I gave everyone in the office a play by play of what he was doing. "He's pulled up" - "He's walking down the steps" - "Here he comes". I then had to tell him that I did this, and he asked me if I had been tracking it...."why of course". They are very comfy. The soles are made out of used tires, and it's pretty cool, because who knows where they have travelled. Of course Jess had to be morbid and say, "hopefully they didn't run over anyone".

My week so far.....

Baby Monday:
Baby Monday was fun, we went to the park, and then we went grocery shopping. The Babe was so cute, she helped me carry in the groceries. Well, she carried the tp, and dragged the tato bag. It was a precious moment. I'm not one to want to be noticed, since I'm a pretty shy indivdual, but taking the Babe out, people won't stop talking to me....lol. I heard "she's beautiful", "I bet she's going to be a model". She is a people magnet that's for sure. It was funny, because when we went to the park, a lady was there who looked like Jess, and I think Korissa thought so too, because she started to run up to her, and then realized that wasn't her mommy.

Killing another electronic device:
So, my Ipod died this week, for some reason, small electronical devices do not last very long around me. I do believe its under warranty still, but I will NEVER pay for another small device again. I've lost 2 Ipods, and 3 Palm Pilots. Weird.

Lost no more:
Finished watching Lost, oh geez, I'm very much looking forward to getting back to Charmed and having closure at the end of a show.

Pat and Dragonlance:

This week I placed a couple of orders with Amazon, it's so fun to get stuff in the mail, isn't it?! I ordered Pat Benatar 'Precious Time' CD, because I couldn't find it ANYWHERE in the stores....it was so freakin exciting opening it up yesterday. It was just like when I was 13 and got the cassette for xmas...lol. I also ordered a couple of Dragonlance books that I can't find anywhere either.
Lunch:
Jessica and I just got back from lunch, we had some yummy mexican food. They have the best bean dip. Sometimes I don't trust servers as far as catering to Vegans though, so I don't think I will go back again. We had a few minutes to spare before it was time to come back to work, so we swung by her house and cleaned it. She tackled the kitchen while I vacuumed and picked up the bathroom. She wanted it all clean so when she came home today she could enjoy her new movie shelf, looking oh so cool in her living room, and I'm sure to make time so she can scrap.

Making friends WoWing:
So, the other day I was gaming and walked by (well, my toon walked by) a Tauren Druid and I buffed him (I won't go into detail about buffing, as you won't understand anyways), and he asked me where I was headed to. I told him I was going to go kill me some dwarves, and he asked if he could tag along. I find out he's new to WoW, and he really doesn't have much of an idea of how to go about doing a lot of questing, so we hang out together. When he logs, he asks me if he can add me to his friends list, I say sure. So, the next night I log in, and he throws me a group invite right away. I see hes questing in an area he just isn't ready to be in, so I bring him to where I am and he and I start gaming again together. He asks me where I'm from, I say Oregon, and he tells me he's from Salem. I'm like, are you serious. So come to find out, he's from Salem too, married, 37, and has two kids. What a small world it is. As long as John and I have been gaming online, we have never met anyone else (well, except the people we already know) from Salem, I thought it was pretty cool.
