White Boy fixin'

Jessica's Jeep has been broken for several weeks now. I let her borrow White Boy so she could get around. Then yesterday she goes to leave somewhere and White Boy won't start either. Poor Jess and poor White Boy. It turned out to only be the starter so John got it running again, and Korissa helped hand him tools.

K Falls Tax Convention

Tax classes are so boring, but I did have some fun too. We stayed at the Running Y Ranch, very pretty. The first day my mom was in a meeting, and I had the day to myself, so I went for a walk. It was very peaceful. We ended our evenings by watching CSI in our room. The hotel did very well making my lunch vegan and gluten free.

On the last day of class I got a text from John telling me to call KGON because they called my name on the radio. They have something called the workforce payroll, if they call your name and you call within 10 minutes you win $100.00. They call someone else's name every hour, and if they don't call in, you collect their $100.00 until someone finally calls in. So, I called the station, and it was super cool talking to Iris Harrison (a KGON DJ, who has been on radio since I can remember). I only won the $100, but it was super cool and exciting to even win anything. I kept saying the whole rest of the day (and I think even a week after) how I can't believe I won $100.

Mother's Day

This was a very interesting Mother's Day. Jessica's Jeep hasn't been running, and even though I let her use White Boy, she doesn't feel comfortable driving it yet. So, she decided to drive her and Rissa to the Evans barbecue in her Jeep. John and I followed her with the dogs. John and I were planning on going to the Salem Comicon afterwards and Jess didn't want to go to that. Well, the Jeep dies on Liberty Rd and let me tell you, it was pretty hot out, so me and the dogs are waiting in the truck while they try and get it going again. After several minutes it starts up and John decided to drive it to try and keep it going. We drove it back to Jessica's, but it did die one more time on the way. It was funny though, because he took the long way to her house and I even said to Jess "why is he going this way, it's longer". I asked him why he went that way and he said had he gone the other way, there would have been less places to pull over....ahhh, that's a man's way of thinking. I didn't even think about that. So, by this time, Jess is pretty frustrated, and we are an hour late to the barbecue, so she decided to stay home and we take Rissa with us. On the way there, Rissa says "Buddy threw up". So, we get to the barbecue and John has to clean up puke in the backseat. For some reason Sookie was not in a very good mood. She did not want Maybeline even near her, so that was annoying. After taking Rissa home we headed to Comicon which I am so thankful that we didn't have to pay to get in, because I would have been even madder, ha ha. I picked up a couple of pictures, but again, glad I didn't have to pay to enter. So, it was a very interesting day for sure!

John and Bill were put to work.

Awesome 3000

Watching Korissa every year run the Awesome 3000, is well, awesome. Every year though, one of us always says "next year we need to bring binoculars", but every year, nobody does. I hope we remember next year, it's hard to spot her with so many kiddos out there.

Papas chair

Whenever John is in the 'Man Cave' (which is pretty much always), Sookie always sits behind him in his computer chair (taking most of the room). When he's not home and I'm in the 'Man Cave', she still has to sit there, guess to keep it warm for him.
