Some I used to's

I was messing around on Facebook last night, a bit too long really, and found some people I used to know (but I just lurked, didn't contact them), and it made me think of how different I am now. I mean, I could go into a lot of stuff of course, I mean, as you get older you should be different, but it got me thinking that would be a fun post. How about you. How are you different? Here are some of my used to's.......
  1. Seriously, I used to smoke? Weird
  2. I used to go DAYS and DAYS without eating. I blacked out more than once because I didn't eat. What?
  3. It used to take me an hour or more (more when I used to curl every strand of my hair, and then use some Aqua Net to hold it in place - hey, that was the 80's) to get ready. Wow, I must have had a lot of free time.
  4. I would not leave the house without makeup. This one cracks me up. Really, I just stopped doing this the past couple years. Now I hardly wear makeup at all. It's not a lazy thing, it's a "why do I want to spend all that time doing that when it's going to smear, dry out my eyes, will take me twice as long to wash my face cause I gotta scrub it all off, and hey, I'm a beautiful goddess without it anyways....lol". Yes, I make up long statements and labels. I use a lot of words to explain myself, wow, I'm still going....
  5. I used to color my hair every 4 weeks. See 4 above for beautiful goddess statement....hee, hee.
  6. I used to obsess about certain celebrites like Matt Dillon or Curt Smith to the point that it was just seriously messed up. Wow, I used to be a Twilighter type obsessed girl before there was Twilight.
  7. I used to sleep through the night without having to get up to pee a ton of times.
  8. I used to have to shave my legs, and pluck a lot less. Oh, the joys of aging :)
  9. I used to never be able to finish a bottle of shampoo or conditioner before I bought another kind. Sometimes I would have like 4 - 5 different types under my sink.
  10. I used to eat meat, huh, say what? Again, weird

Thanksgiving Day Plans

Since we celebrated Thanksgiving early because Heather came home for 2 weeks, I have a really special day planned tomorrow, something I haven't done in a while. Two words will sum it all up..........

"Game On"

New Moon Night

Jessica picked me up last night at 9:30 and then we went to Aimees house to get her. We dropped off Aimees boyfriend Jon on the way and then of course had to stop at a convenience store to get a few goods for the show, and Aimee needed coffee.
The line was looooooong. Actually, when I had picked up the tickets at noon, the line was just forming. When we arrived, it felt like we would never get to go in, but I'm so thankful it wasn't raining. We were suppose to be in auditorium 9, but since they also were playing Twilight, they decided to keep those already viewing Twilight in #9, and filter us #9 people into other auditoriums. That made us a bit nervous. We got to go in with group 4 though, and we sat in the 4th row from the screen. One row back from where we watched Potter. There of course were tons of girls, a few guys too, which made me wonder if they were team Jacob, Edward or maybe Bella?
The movie was sooooo good. The screaming was not bad at all, and only happened when the guys were shirtless, or you would hear an ocasional "jealous" or "awww" when Edward kissed Bella or said something super romantic to her. For New Moon though, I am definetly team Jacob.
I didn't get into bed until 3:30 this morning, so I'm pretty tired at the moment. I did pass right out though, but woke up this morning at 8:30, and couldn't go back to sleep. It has hit me though the past hour, so now I could probably fall back to sleep, but I gotta work now, so next time, I will make sure to take the next day off.

A hubby hug

Yesterday I wasn't feeling very well (again, ugh) and John asked me if I needed a hug. So I said......

Me: sure
John: Let me give you some yin
Me: Don't you mean chi?
John: Nope I mean yin. Everybody knows about chi. I'm talking about yin. Nobody uses yin. You gotta feel the yin.

So, he gives me a big yin hug, even though I still felt terrible, at least I felt terrible with a smile on my face.

My Lifesource Rant over Tea

Ok, so I put in my first EVER special request Lifesource order a few months back. It was for this yummy tea, the best tea actually, by a company called Juniper Ridge. They make Douglas Fir tip tea (sounds weird, I know, but it is soooo good). Anyways, they call me and say they don't think they will be ordering from that company anymore so they can't order my tea. I had got the tea from Whole Foods, which is a 45 minute drive away. I'm bummed, because I use this company's soap too, and know now I will have to order it online or wait until I go to Whole Foods, which is hardly never, oh, and I also love their incense as well. So, I'm in Lifesource a few weeks back, see they only have ONE bar of the soap left, and no spots for anymore, grab it up, knowing I won't be able to buy it there anymore. Now, today I go to Lifesource for some rolls, stroll by the beauty aisle, cause that's where they keep their super cute bags, candles and such, and I love to look at that stuff. Well, I see the Juniper Ridge insence area is full, then I notice that they carry ALL of the soaps again. Ok, they could have ordered my dang tea! I'm sad :(
