Coast Party Trip

We went to the annual D&O Christmas party in Lincoln City. We started out by meeting some people at the Rogue brewery in Newport for lunch. I had a yummy salad, fries and root beer. They had a bunch of beer to taste, but I don't like beer, and after tasting about 5 different types, I still don't like beer. After lunch we headed back to Lincoln City and stopped at the outlet malls there. I got 2 new pairs of boots, a shirt and bracelets from Rue 21 for like 34.00. It was a deal! We stayed at the Inn at Spanish Head, which had a nice view, but it sucked cause you had to walk pretty far from the car to the hotel. It was pretty windy too. We had a lot of fun. I wish we could have gone for the whole wknd, hopefully next year.

Got my devotional

I was sooooo looking forward to getting Ann Voskamp's One Thousand Gifts Devotional. I saw it on her blog a few weeks ago, so I immediately called my Christian bookstore to see if they had it in. After being on hold for forever, ha ha, he tells me it doesn't come out until the 20th. So sad. So yesterday morning I hurried up straight to the store, and whatta ya know? They didn't have any, and they hadn't ordered any. Sad again. So she took my name and number and told me she would call me when it came in. Yesterday afternoon, she calls me and tells me they got a shipment in, and there was one devotional in there, I was sooooo excited! So I ran down there and got my book. It made my day. I love Ann Voskamp, she seriously rocks. What a great treat for myself on Day 7 of zero cigarettes.
